LED Lens Components with Structured Optical Surfaces

Features to review before tooling

A structured surface must be specified together with the part profile and assembly features. Gate location, surface finish, texture replication and removal from the mould all deserve attention when a visible area also influences light distribution.

Tooling and sample review

Trial review may include appearance, dimensions and tests of the intended illumination pattern. A photograph alone does not establish optical efficiency or light output; those values require an agreed measurement and complete lighting assembly.
