Tooling for Thin Light Guide Plates
The brochure shows several views of light-guide plate tooling together with thin plate samples. The broad cavity faces and relatively thin part geometry make surface condition and part flatness important review topics.

Features to review before tooling
The design review should identify the light-entry and viewing faces, required texture, plate thickness and locating features. Gate and cooling arrangements need to be assessed against filling and potential distortion for the selected resin and part geometry.

Tooling and sample review
Before sample approval, review visible marks, plate dimensions, flatness and the intended assembly fit. Illumination uniformity should be evaluated in the complete application using an agreed test method.
