During DFM and mold development, particular attention is given to accurate pivots, holes and locating datums, stiff ribs around load-transfer areas, and clearance for moving parts and fasteners. Material options include PA, POM, PP, ABS, PC/ABS, TPE and reinforced engineering resins selected for the operating load. Final resin selection is confirmed against the customer’s functional, appearance, compliance and cost requirements.
